"If you find a cat, you can keep it"—husband‘s famous last words

Humans like to believe that they find stray cats and save their lives, but on the contrary, it's the strays that find us and save our souls from a feline-free existence. As if they can smell the desperation for kitty cuddles on our skin, stray cats will leap out of the shadows and into our path, faking a limp, meowing loudly, or just being simply adorable to catch our attention.

It's all any real cat lover can do but stop and at least pet the beast. However, when this married woman's husband told her that she could have a cat only if she found one out there in the wild that needed her, a cat knew it was time to step in. Meet Loki the white cat with golden eyes. Beautiful, striking, and pawsitively purrfect, this kitty was exactly what the woman needed to purrsuade her husband to become an honorary human servant to the Cat Kingdom.

Meowssion accomplished.

Loki certainly knew what he was doing. Waiting 2 weeks outside of the bodega, this cat was surveying his local human options. Like a mom at the grocery store picking the best vegetables and the healthiest sliced bread, this kitty was shopping for his meowst perfect furrever home with equal fervor. Now all he needed was the right cat lover to lock eyes with his golden beauties, and he'd be homeward bound!

Spouses know that there's a fine line of approval between themselves and their mate. When this husband told his wife his conditions for getting a cat, of course, she started keeping her eyes peeled on her normal daily commute. Cats are everywhere in the world, sadly, left outside for one reason or another. And it's our job as cat lovers to recognize them, scoop their little tushies up, and bring them home to a warm bed. It's the right thing to do.

So while this man's mission was well-placed, it ultimately saved the life of an adorable kitty who belongs on a supermeowdel calendar, not on the cold street corner outside of a bodega.
